In 1965, Michelin introduced the XAS, which set standards until the end of the seventies. This asymmetric tyre became legendary thanks to its special rubber compound, which made it the king tyre of the "Form France" as the XAS-FF.

 In the first rally tyre with an asymmetric tread, the inner and outer sides of the tyre are designed differently so that each half of the tyre can perform different tasks. The tyre shoulders, sidewalls and the different parts of the tread according to their position on the inside or outside of the vehicle enable fast, precise and safe driving in races and rallies.

 The XAS-FF was the world's first mass-produced racing tyre designed for high speeds up to 210 km/h. Since 1968, the "FF" has won countless hill climbs and rallies: Those who drove with it often crossed the finish line as winners.
